Job Description

Our client seeks an experienced Vice President of Sales to join the executive team and lead sales efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving revenue growth in a software/technical sales environment, with a focus on building and managing successful sales teams. The VP of Sales will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy supporting the company's growth goals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that drives revenue growth and expands our client base.

  • Build and manage a high-performing sales team, including recruiting, training, and mentoring sales representatives.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients and strategic partners.

  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute effective sales campaigns.

  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify new sales opportunities and develop strategies to win new business.

  • Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and pipeline reports

  • Collaborate with other members of the executive team to ensure alignment and achieve company-wide goals

  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in technical sales, ideally software sales, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth

  • 5+ years of experience in sales management, with a track record of building and managing successful sales teams

  • Strong knowledge of the software industry, including trends and emerging technologies

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
