Our client is a leading Compliant Hosting and Data Protection company that offers secure and compliant hosting solutions to businesses of all sizes. Their data security and compliance expertise provides their customers peace of mind while ensuring their sensitive data is always protected. They seek a Sales Engineer to join the team and help them continue to grow and expand their customer base. The salary range is 112 to 125K, not including variable pay opportunities (see below for details). 

 

Job Description

You will be responsible for driving revenue growth by engaging with prospects and customers to understand their business needs and requirements. You will work closely with our sales and engineering teams to design and implement customized solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

 

Responsibilities

  • Engage with prospects and customers to understand their business needs and requirements.

  • Design and present customized solutions that address customer needs

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers throughout the sales process

  • Work closely with the sales and engineering teams to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of solutions

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within customer organizations

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data security and compliance

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • 3-6+ years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales

  • Strong understanding of data security and compliance regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA

  • Experience working with enterprise-level customers and complex technical solutions

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - make the complex sound simple and safe. 

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • A natural desire to help people succeed by solving their problems and rendering sound advice. 

  • Willingness to travel as needed

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a hosting or cloud services environment

  • Knowledge of industry-leading technologies, including VMware, Cisco, and Dell EMC

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms

 

Compensation Data

The current median salary in the KC Pay market is $97,629. The recommended salary is $$112,202, with 4-6 years of experience.  $124,715 with 6-8 years of experience. Does not include variable pay opportunities. The ultimate agreed-upon salary correlates individual value to the company, combining innate abilities, acquired knowledge and experiences, and current pay data while honoring the company's constraints.
